Joshua Thomson

Joshua is a celebrated director, maker and performer, with particular skills and passion for physical and aerial performance, having won a Helpmann for Best Physical and Visual Work with The Farm/Bleach Festival in 2019 as well as being nominated for Best Male Dancer that same year. Joshua has toured extensively both nationally and internationally with his own work as well as for companies including Marrugeku, The Farm, Dance North, PVC and Tasdance. Performing with Legs On The Wall since 2012, Joshua was appointed Artistic Director in 2018, since when he has been able to focus the company on bold cross-disciplinary physical works. Joshua is dedicated to making work that has grit while still being engaging and accessible for all who see it. His next work THAW will see a performer suspended atop a 3ton ice sculpture suspended 20m over water, keep your eyes out. Joshua Thomson and Legs On The Wall are thrilled to be a part of this latest work Sandsong from Bangarra.
