There are a range of grants and opportunities both in the Hunter and Nationally available to the creative sector. We’ve collected some useful resources to help you start your search.

City of Newcastle Special Business Rates Program

Annual funding for the most creative and innovative project proposals is distributed through a competitive application process.

Arts and Cultural Funding Program

Providing funding opportunities for arts and cultural organisations, professional artists and arts/cultural workers across a wide range of artforms and disciplines.

Regional Arts Australia

The Regional Arts Fund is an Australian Government program that supports sustainable cultural development in regional and remote communities in Australia.


Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Funding Program

Create NSW provides funding opportunities for arts and cultural organisations, professional artists, and arts/cultural workers across a wide range of artforms and disciplines.

COVID Development Grants

Applications open for COVID Development Grants

Create NSW is offering targeted support to individuals and groups of up to $5,000, and up to $10,000 for organisations in the small-to-medium sector in NSW who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 Crisis Relief Grants

With continued funding support from the Australian Government through the Office for the Arts, Support Act is offering cash grants of $2,000 ($2,700 to families with dependent children) to music and performing arts workers called COVID-19 Crisis Relief Grants

Screen Australia offers funding to support the development, production and marketing of Australian screen content, as well as for the development of Australian talent and screen production businesses.

CREATIVE STREETS GRANTS

Applications are open for the Creative Streets Grants Program from Monday 14 November to midnight Sunday 4 December 2022.

Maitland City Council is inviting individuals or organisations with concepts for events, pop up street activations, performances, workshops, interactive displays, or hands on activities that tests new ideas to revitalise public places to apply.
